Learn Pentatonic Position #4
Most beginner guitar lessons introduce you to pentatonic position #1 pretty early on. The reason is because it is an easy "pattern" to locate and remember. Pentatonic position #4 is just as easy to locate and remember. This position is also the 2nd most common spot on the fretboard that many popular solos are played in.

Solo Across the Entire Neck
In this course you will learn how to "solo" (aka. improvise or compose lead guitar lines that sound nice when played alone, or along with a rhythm section) with the pentatonic scale across the entire fretboard. This course will have you soloing in 3 major keys and 3 minor keys. However, you will quickly realize that you'll also be able to solo in ANY KEY after finishing this course!

The Diatonic Scale
THIS is goal of most guitar players who are right around that beginner-intermediate stage of their guitar journey. All we are trying to do here is to take the 7-note key-scale (aka. the diatonic scale, aka. the major scale, aka. the natural minor scale), and cover the entire fretboard with it so we can play melodic solos. You can use 7 patterns to accomplish this task (which is commonly mistaken for "learning the modes"). OR you can use 5 patterns to accomplish this task (which is commonly mistaken for "learning the CAGED system"). You can also use just 3 patterns to accomplish this task. In this course you will learn all 3 methods!

The CAGED System
This is such an amazing and powerful system, yet it is so commonly misunderstood. In this course you will learn all about the misconceptions surrounding the CAGED system, and why these misconceptions exist at all. Many people find "the wrong way" to use the CAGED system to be helpful, and therefore you are free to use it that way if you choose to. However the CAGED system is so much more powerful than that, which is exactly why you will also be taught how to use the CAGED system in both ways!

Learn Your Modes, Bro
Oh modes...the most commonly misunderstood topic in all of the guitar community. If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone tell a beginner-intermediate player to "learn the modes", I'd have a lot of dollars. MOST of the time the objective of the beginner-intermediate guitarist is to learn how to solo in a key using the seven 3-note-per-string patterns. If that is the case, then the Melodic Soloing course is what you are looking for, not this one. However don't worry. If you accidentally get this course thinking that you were supposed to "learn your modes, bro"...as 7 connecting scale patterns....then fear not my friend, we will cover that misconception here too!
